So i figured out the day I stopped eating meat. April 1st was the last time I ate it without any intentions of stopping, and April 2nd was the day I started. It was the day the Pope died, we were in Long Beach, and I had to run out to leave a note on a former neighbor's car for my aunt, and this car was parked at the Catholic church across the street where they were having mass for the Pope. Confused? Don't worry about it.

There are only three exceptions for eating meat, for myself. They are:
1) In-N-Out (which only happens 1-3 times a year)
2) When I eat at an authentic Mexican place that isn't hip and trendy. They don't have vegetarian choices.
3) when I am Mexico.

So I have still eaten meat on a few occasions. Purposefully I ate:
* 1 buffalo wing at Red Robin.
* 2 Mexican burritos when there were no other choices.
* My mom's poppyseed chicken

I feel like there was more, but I can't think of it.
Accidentally I have eaten:
* One really gross cafeteria tamale that I did NOT even think about eating until 30 minutes later. I guess that proves the nastiness of the tamale.

I refuse to call myself a Vegetarian because I'm not THAT committed. I just tell people "I"m not eating meat right now". Other than all those mishaps, it's turning out pretty well.

I've also decided to stop drinking pop... so the last time I had a Mt. Dew was about 3 weeks ago, and the last time I had any pop at all was about 2 and a half weeks ago. We'll see how this goes. Sometimes I just REALLY want a Mt. Dew.

I'm using blogger's comments now. I wish I had haloscan, but I just couldn't get it to work. Comment me! Or something.

Listening to: Headphones. Tonight I'm going to my first concert in 7 months! yikes! I'm excited.

So you're not eating fish? Not that it would matter if you were, because you're not calling yourself a "vegetarian."

I have a friend who makes a big deal about being a vegetarian...she's been a vegetarian for years. And I just recently discovered that she ate fish.

I said, "So...you're not a vegetarian?" And she said, "Yes I am." And I said, "But you eat meat..."

And she got really mad at me.

no, i don't eat fish. Which isn't a big deal because I don't really like fish to begin with.

If you eat fish, you can't call yourself a strict vegetarian. It's meat, it came from an animal.

Right.

They've got a really fancy word for "vegetarian that eats meat"...I can't remember what it is. Darin used it once on Vagrant...procto-plagjakga vegetarian or something. Anyway...that's what my friend Kim claims to be, and I said, "Yeah...it's called a meat eater."
