I'm here to appease the masses!
haha. that was weird to come back and see those messages waiting for me.
So obviously the highlight of my week was Wednesday. My mom got a phone call a little before 5am that Rinda was having contractions. They were going to labor at home and call us when they were heading to the clinic. Of course then my mom and i couldn't go back to sleep so we got up, showered and got dressed, watched some news, and blah blah blah.
We got to the clinic a little after ten am. Rinda had been having contractions, but the midwife said she might want to go for a walk at the nearby mall, or go home, or something, cause she didn't think Rinda would be having the baby any time soon. My mom and i didn't know what to do with ourselves so we left for about an hour and a half. we came back around 1:30 and Rinda's water had just broken. My mom and I sat out in the lobby for a while, and pretty soon Rinda's mom came out and said "Do you wanna see her be born?" of course! so we went in to the tub room where Rinda was. There were three midwives, Rinda, my brother, Rinda's mom, my mom and me. And right when we walked in, Rinda had one push and the baby's head was out. Next contraction there was Hannah!
It was so great. She came right out and was looking up at Rinda, and all around, reacting and just exploring with her eyes. Of course she's gorgeous. She has Rinda's little pugnose, and little chicken legs. She was 7lbs, 1oz, and 19.5 inches long. she was cute, sucking on her fingers when my brother was holding her. Everybody is doing great- and that was the excitement of my spring break.
Tonight my dad got home from Mexico, so he and my mom went down to joel and rinda's to see everyone (including the new granddaughter) and I'm going to a concert with Tai, so i can't wait to see Hannah tomorrow (though there will be tons of people at church who want to see her too. I'm having such a hard time not barging in and wanting to have her all the time.
What else? umm.. i've just been sitting at my parents' apartment. I had a long nanny job Thursday and Friday for the same family, all day, and got good money out of that, so that was good. Wednesday night (after Hannah had been born. ha) Tai and her friend tara, and I went to go see Squad five-o. Dangit I love those guys.
I guess that's it kiddos. School starts back up Monday. Which is horrible. blah on school.
