Sooooo.. i'm sitting in choir practice tonight. We're doing a cantata that Michael W. Smith helped on. He wrote a lot of the music, and it just so happens that Amy Grant writes a lot of stuff with him. I can't help but overhear the conversation behind me that two women are having, about Amy Grant being an adulteress, and all these things, talking about how bad she is, and how young people look up to her.
Excuse me for a minute. Yes, I do look up to her. I was SO close to turning around and telling those ladies that gossiping and talking nasty about people they didn't know was just the same sin-wise as Amy Grant divorcing her husband.
No wonder people hate Christians. They can't even treat their own people right, let alone non-christians. Now, i don't agree with Amy Grant did, but I am never in any position to say she's a bad person, OR talk about her behind her back. I don't know her, and neither do those ladies. Here we are, singing songs about a God who loves us so much, even in our sin, to send us a humble Savior, to wipe away our sins, and these ladies are chit chatting about someone else's sins, like they are their's to announce and scoff at. How pathetic.
