aw man.

After years of writing mundane papers that are required, and reading textbooks that are boring... i am beginning to feel like a real college student.

My assignment next semester for my independent course study (for three credits) is to analyze children's drawings... a group of preschool kids from America, and a group of preschool kids in Mexico. Read lots about analyzing children's drawings. Create a large annotated bibliography to pass out. Interview a child psychologist. Research recent studies. Give a full presentation to the college community at large next fall semester. Aye yi yi. While we were talking about what it would take to bump it up to three credits, my professor says "this sounds like the beginnings of a master's thesis" YIKES.

I'm going to meet with another professor about some other credits-- maybe two-- in history. And I'm going to struggle to find one more credit. Why can't they just give me a credit for volunteering a semester out of my life? Like a humanities credit? C'mon-- I'll keep a journal!

Why six credits? Because if i don't take six credits I can't defer my loan (as continuous enrollment) and would use up all of my grace period on my loan AND possibly start paying for part of it. Do i want that? of course not. So it's work work work for me!

Mostly these days i feel like a chicken with its head cut off.
Today:
7:30-class
9am- class
10:30- meet with dad
10:45- meet with professor
11am- practice bass
12pm- back here to look for articles and stuff for 410 paper
1pm- lunch with roomies
2pm-meeting with another professor
2:30pm- meeting with yet another professor.
3-5pm- homework and creating lesson for youth tonight
5pm- dinner with mentor group of girls
6pm- jet off to church to make invitations for jr. high activity, have youth.
9pm- get home, relax, probably do some homework.

and hopefully lights out by 11pm. we hope.

my roommates and i wrote two e-mails to ellen degeneres. One asking about finding a certain type of candy (nevermind), and the other about how we would like to meet nate and houston. What if we got on her show? Awesome- what would you think of that, michial?
