Cement Girl

Hmmm. i feel very lonely tonight. I'm loooooooonely. But i also feel very stupid and ridiculous.

This was my day:

-woke up around 8:30. Took shower and all that good stuff. I took my sweet golly time getting ready. I SPENT AN HOUR IN THE BATHROOM. I'm so vain.

-Around ten I headed to the library to pick up some kiddie books for the boys I was babysitting today. I dropped by the mailroom to send off the shoes amber bought from me. I TRIED to buy something in the coffee shop, but while it was open... nobody was around to help me. So i left. They don't get my dollar. your loss.

-Went back to my room and got everything ready to go to my first nanny job. woooooo. all my papers and my "nanny bag" (which is just my backpack with kid stuff in it). Drove to Vancouver to find this place.

-Babysat from 11:30 till 4:30. Two boys, Michael and Henry, 3 and 2 respectively. Both still in diapers. In a huge house, brand new, but incredibly dirty. THe whole time all i could think was 1) you don't need this much space. You don't even have enough stuff to furnish it and 2) you have this nice of a house and you can't take care of it? I could do so much better. Anyhow- the boys were good, except for naptime. That was a chore. But they went down for almost two hours, and i got to read some homework (ragamuffin gospel by brennan manning), and when they woke up, it was all home free. Mom came home at 4:20 and i got out of there with my 50 dollar check! hallelujah! And it's already spent! woooo!!! yay i'm so good at financial things.

-So i left the house at 4:20. Their house was right by where I-5 and I-205 are about to come together. Stupidly, I got on I-5 south instead of I-205, so i ended up way over by downtown instead of my neighborhood. In rush hour. With not very much gas in my car. I was freakin out. Luckily i finally found a 76 where i could buy gas.

-It took me 25 minutes (at the most) to drive from the school to these people's house. It took me an hour to get home. AN HOUR. that was including a 5 minute stop at the bank. Went to dinner and found tai and janelle in the cafeteria. we talked a long time.

-went to my room. sat around. went up to tai and janelle's room to see if they would walk to the student union with me to check my mail. They would :) I GOT MY STICKERS FROM CARROLL!!! yaaaaay carroll. She bought me twothirtyeight stickers at a show she went to last saturday (they are not coming around here anytime soon, and they don't sell merch online). Yay stickers to put on my car. Oh and randomly there was "outbreak" just started on the big screen tv in the student union, so tai and i sat and watched the whole thing.

-then i came back here. What an exciting day!

Man am I sore, just from that initiative game last night. Oye veh.
