Cement Girl

Yeah. So our house is basically sold. They have to run an inspection and sign papers and all that.

The thing is, though, they want to move in March 5th. Our condo that is being built isn't going to be ready until April 15th (which my mom says, really means May 1st). So... my parents have to figure out some place to live for two months. I might have to find some place to stay for Spring Break.

I went home today, to go look at the condos with my parents, and I arrive at the house and my mom says "I just cried this morning cause this is where my babies grew up!" and i said "Mom, we grew up at the other house" and she said "well you came of age in this house!" which, is true, cause we've lived there since I was 13. I drove away from the house and the neighborhood thinking "Man, this is going to be it. I won't be driving around these neighborhood streets anymore. I won't drive down Division to get home, I'll have to take the stinkin' freeway. my CHILDHOOD!" even when we moved when I was 13 to this house, we only moved two blocks from our old house, so really, it was still the same neighborhood. This depressed me, and made me listen to the following memory-inducing cds this afternoon and tonight. More will probably added later.
